Website Design - Part 2

Things to keep in mind for your current or future website include having a well branded homepage including a banner at the top of the page that includes your logo, images of you if applicable, and it’s vital to include a call to action like “contact us today” or “get a free estimate”.  These things will help you build credibly when initialized appropriately on your home page. Next, make sure you included examples of your best work when mapping out your site.  People want to feel comfortable with a brand before they engage, proof of your success with clients by showing examples of your work is vital.    Then, make sure you include images and or videos that represent your work as well as any published articles you authored or in which your brand was featured.  A big challenge for many can be the next step, which is writing a blog.  I can attest to that because you are reading only my second blog post ever.  I can attest that your blog will likely not be “awesome” when you begin but don’t worry, just break the ice and get past the apprehension.  Write about things that are in your wheel house and engages your audience.  You want you blog to have value for the consumer, not just simply be an advertisement.  The fifth thing you should focus on is obtaining customer testimonials.  Testimonials can be the most powerful tool for endorsing your business so don’t overlook this low hanging fruit.  If you have the opportunity to get testimonials on video you have hit a home run. Remember, videos are always will be king.  Last but not least, include a contact form.  This allows you to gather leads as well as contact information for any future email promotions you may have.  Always make it easy for your brand to gather info needed to get back out in front of those that have engaged with you.
